Time Frame: Almset, c2393/Lavanda-13 through Fireset, c2393/Lavanda-24
Starting Location: Feodris | Dosleron Region | Grasmere Island Province | Grasmere Keep | Waterfront District
As the employees of The Stewed Prune waited patiently for the repairs to be completed so they could get back to work and set about attending to various tasks, a pensive Bold spoke with Kroth. She provided him the name of an associate of hers, Eugenia Dekkar. Eugenia turned out to be a hairless, red-skinned meccalid with a peculiarly zen air. She agreed to train the tabaxi on techniques she had perfected and aided Bold in learning to better use his favored hammers as two-handed weapons.
Around the same time, Riv felt the impending overflow of the Whimsey magics threatening his physical form. He asked Brom (as a fellow druid) and Olivia to watch out for him as he traveled to a remote area far outside the city. As his body prepared to release a surge of dangerous magical energy, he tried to minimize the impact to the area around him. As his body dissembled violently, Riv had visions of the harm his Core Scatter did to the natural beings and yet felt an odd, intimate connection with them as he did so. His consciousness returned with him finding a newfound affinity for the Mortal Phase, feeling it crying out for a protector and believing that he might just be well suited to serve as such.

Several days later, some of the employees of the Prune planned a trip to the marketplace to stock up on some supplies. Liften Square was busy, and crowded, and as the crew mingled and made purchases and contacts with several of the vendors there, their attention was suddenly drawn to a giant cricket at the north end of the square. Riv tried to reason with the creature, but it was too surprised and frightened by its sudden size to respond. As the citizens fled in terror, the group sprang to action, trying their best to keep everyone safe while fighting against the enormous insect.
Eventually, the cricket was defeated and the group looked around for clues as to what might have caused the rampage. They encountered a young woman who had been minding one of the stalls who was frantically looking for her brother, Ray-Ray. He had gotten lost in the commotion and after a brief search he was located off to one side of the market square, clutching a strange ball-like object that seemed to be made of living flesh. He called it a “reubollo” and said a shadow had given it to him but made him promise not to put it down. With some convincing, Ray gave Olivia the reubollo and shortly after a shadowy creature named Lekhsinkka revealed itself.
Lekhsinkka turned out to be the Whimsey creature Riv and Olivia had found while looking for passage out of that realm and into the Mortal Phase. Olivia mentioned that Lekhsinkka’s transportation magic had worked, but had unexpected consequences: de-aging her by a couple of decades at least. Lekhsinkka offered to aid Olivia in searching for a way to undo the reverse aging, but would only do so as part of a mutually beneficial bargain. Olivia agreed and pressed the reubollo to her chest, where it was absorbed into her, sealing the creature’s magic inside. Lekhsinkka vowed to begin working on Olivia’s problem but informed her that there would most likely be a few errands she would need from her new ward.
