The Players
Nerds. dads. Gamers.
Most of us are old guard tech workers in Silicon Valley who have been friends for twenty years or more. We enjoy all manner of games: tabletop role-playing, board games, war games, video games, collectible card games, party games, you name it. When possible we try to meet up annually for entire weekends devoted to gaming, and have been known to haunt the convention circuits (before global pandemics, of course).
We play to have fun and have been honing our dad joking skills since long before any of us were actual dads.

THE Gamemasters
Someone’s got to Handle the Rules
The current Dungeon Master is Paul, who was new to 5th Edition at the start of the campaign but has been playing and acting as gamemaster for a variety of role-playing games since he was ten years old. Like many DMs, he’s a failed novelist who, it turns out, prefers collaborating on stories with his friends for fun. He believes in saying “yes” to his players whenever possible but likes to add an “…and.” When he’s not working on the campaign, he plays Lego and kid-friendly RPGs (such as My Little Pony: Tails of Equestria) with his kids; Magic: The Gathering over webcam; and board games—especially legacy style—whenever possible.
